This is a simplified version of our full game, where 18 of the best teams ever to compete in the World Cup (plus 2 'Best of' teams) play in a 38-day/19-game league to discover who really is the Champion of Champions!

World Cup Legends is totally free, features the best players ever to have kicked a football and plays in a very similar fashion to the existing 'normal' Worlds. The major differences are that:

• Matches are played every other day, with every team playing each other once in a league of 20 teams. This strenuous and rapid-fire sequence of high profile games will test your managerial abilities to its limits! Indeed, as players tire after playing games, a little squad rotation is likely to be critical to get the best out of your players
• Of course, there are no transfers between teams and thus you don't need to worry about dealing with any team financial elements or scouting opposition players (all player abilities are visible to all managers)
• To keep things simple (and also to broadly recreate similar conditions to real life), there's also no training schedules for you to tweak - all players are assumed to be 'resting/in recovery' between matches
• Again to keep things simple, your Avatar (i.e. the characteristics of your Manager Profile) are all set to the same default values at the start of each World

• This is a one-off league i.e. after 19 matches, if you want to continue playing World Cup Legends, you'll need to join a new World Cup Legends World
• We'll also be keeping you informed of how we'll be developing this idea. For example, the best performers across all World Cup Legends Worlds will be entered into a single 'Best of the Best' World, with a big prize for the Ultimate Champion! We'll also be steadily increasing the marketing we're carrying out, improving the social atmosphere and giving you more managers to compete against
